About Lily
Lily, a dedicated groomer, embarked on a transformative journey when she immigrated to Canada from Brazil five years ago. In her homeland, she served as a compassionate nurse, offering care and support to those in need. Lily's transition to Canada marked a significant chapter in her life, as she discovered a new passion for grooming. Her nurturing background as a nurse continues to influence her grooming approach, ensuring the well-being and happiness of the pets she cares for.
Certified Groomer
At the beginning of 2023, Lily became a certified groomer after completing her training at Western Dog Grooming School in Maple Ridge. Throughout her training, Lily groomed over 100 dogs, honing her skills and gaining valuable experience. The training program also equipped her with the knowledge to properly deal with traumatized dogs and handle injuries with care.
The born of Paws Place
Lily’s love for grooming inspired her to take a bold step – she decided not to be an employee but to open her own business and contribute to the community of Langley, the city she chose to live her new life. At the date of October 2023 her business, ’Paws Place - Dog Grooming’, was born out of passion and a commitment to providing top-notch care for pets.
During the challenging times following the pandemic, finding an affordable space for her business was not easy. Lily made a strategic decision to sub-contract a warehouse, sharing the space with a mobile and laptop shop. This collaboration not only helped her overcome financial hurdles but also fostered a sense of community between different local businesses.
